Jun 09A friend of mine forwarded an email to me about losing your salvation. I’m not sure where he got it from so I can’t give proper credit to who ever wrote it but I thought it was worth reposting on my blog.
I find myself in the middle of great discussions about grace, sin and obedience all of the time. Another discussion was on the whether we could lose our salvation. The understanding that grace covers all our sins leaves no room for someone to lose their salvation wasn’t how they had been taught in the past. The person in the discussion with me is trying to discover the depths of grace and how it is transforming our lives. The discussion has been interesting. This email happened to come to me and just totally helped me express my thoughts about losing our salvation. Be blessed in your security!
To lose our salvation, we must kill Jesus, Our High Priest
Why? Because He ever liveth to make intercession for us. Based on God’s oath, drawn from the priesthood of Melchizedek, as long as Jesus lives, His intercession for us secures the Eternal Security of us all.
Your sins cannot lose your salvation for you as long as Jesus “ever liveth.” But if He could be killed or die and cease to be “ever living to make intercession for us,” all is lost.
Jesus is or High Priest! ….Awesome!
